10 hours per week / 40 hours per month. The role can be offered on an employee or consultancy basis. The role can be offered to an accountancy firm also.

Job Description: The Isle of Gigha Heritage Trust (IGHT) is a charitable organisation which has 3 trading subsidiary companies. The IGHT group recorded turnover of £900,000 in 20-21 and has assets worth £7.5 million. The group is seeking a qualified accountant to provide professional financial management for the IGHT group.

Core Responsibilities:

These are the core responsibilities for this role and is not an exhaustive list:

·       Producing financial reports, management accounts, and cashflow forecasts for the IGHT group.

·       Producing annual budgets and reporting on variances throughout the year.

·       Providing information for annual audits.

·       Supporting the Business Development Manager in preparing financial reports, budgets, and cashflows required for lenders and funders.

·       Supporting the Office Manager with their bookkeeping responsibilities and general finance queries such as purchase and sales ledgers activities.

·       Review and submit quarterly VAT returns.

·       Acting as the main contact for IGHT group banks and lenders.

·       Reviewing expenditure as agreed within annual budgets.


Person Specification:

·       AAT, ACCA, or CIMA qualification desirable.

·       Has at least 3 years’ experience in financial and business management.

·       Is able to work flexibility within reason to meet the needs of the company.
